Parent Teacher Fellowship
Parent Teacher Fellowship and a Parent Panther Council help provide assistance for teachers and school administration. PTF meetings will be scheduled for the benefits of getting to know other school families, aiding our school and hearing guest speakers. Watch for flyers announcing these events. Please contact our PTF President, Pam Pederson to learn more about this organization and how you may participate.
Parents as Partners
The opportunities for parent involvement are endless! Whether you are interested in being a room parent, chairing large events, organizing teacher appreciation luncheons, merchandising our school spirit wares or helping in the classroom, we have plenty of ways to utilize your talents! We also love to know what our parents have passion for and what companies they are involved with because we tap those resources as part of our integrated and hands-on programming. Please contact Director Linda Altick and she will put you in touch with individuals who are in need of volunteers.
At Wesley Prep, we have an active Dad’s Club. The club is open to any dad at the school and we encourage MDO dads to get involved early and grow with their kids. Our vision is to create a network of involved and active fathers intent on helping Wesley Prep provide a great experience for their students. We do this in many ways, providing much-needed support while having a great time with other dads:
- Annual clean-up of the children’s playgrounds
- Coordination of Panther Pride Day (our equivalent to Field Day)
- Involvement with our sports teams
- Set and stage building for musicals and art show and much more
- Dad’s Club BBQ – dads only
- Sporting clays tournament – dads only
- Fishing Derbies
- Donuts with Dad
- Father/Daughter Dance
- Bible Study Group – dads only
Dues are included in your child’s tuition and go back into projects to support our kids; membership includes a monthly newsletter of events and updates as well as association with a great group of dads. For more information or to become a member of the Dad’s Club, please email Mark Pedersen.
